“my real father lost his head at kings landing”

wow, that was about as OOC as asha using the word “cunt” to demean someone

I guess it makes him more sympathetic to show fans which is fine, but no

Lord Eddard had tried to play the father from time to time, but to Theon he had always remained the man who’d brought blood and fire to Pyke and taken him from his home. As a boy, he had lived in fear of Stark’s stern face and great dark sword. His wife was, if anything, even more distant and suspicious.

Theon may have thought of Robb as a brother, but Ned always represented fear to him

Full size images for those have trouble reading these can be found here

If you just open each image in a new tab, they will be very large, magnifiable and readable.

Why is it entirely possible to love Theon Greyjoy while being a perfectly sane person AND loving the Starks.

I know it’s a damn long title but at least, you know what you’re going to read right ?

NB: Spoilers for ADWD.

He has love, he has it in his heart, but that means he wants to be loved and he’s never really gotten it. Ned Stark’s probably put his arm around his shoulder at some point, but he’s never really taught him the right and wrong way of life, and apart from Ned he never really had a role model. That’s where the conflict comes in his mind, this mental torture happens because no one is telling him right from wrong. He’s crying out for someone to tell him what to do, and he never really gets it and that’s why he makes so many brash decisions.
But [Alfie Allen] admitted he hasn’t actually read A Dance With Dragons. His friends keep asking if he’s read it yet, and then giving him sympathetic pats on the shoulder.
